About WATCH D.O.G.S.® Established in 1998
WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads of Great Students) is a nationally recognized family and community engagement program that encourages fathers and other positive male role models to become actively involved in their students’ schools.
WATCH D.O.G.S.® volunteers help create a positive, welcoming, and safe school environment while showing students that their education matters. Throughout the school day, volunteers may support students and staff in a variety of ways, including assisting with school activities, interacting positively with students, and providing an additional adult presence throughout the building.
The program is designed to:
- Provide students with positive male role models.
- Increase family and community involvement in our school.
- Provide additional support to teachers and staff.
- Promote positive interactions and relationships with students.
- Help foster a safe, supportive environment where students can focus on learning.
